Francisco's version does make it easier to see the birds, but I think it does so at the sacrifice of some very good color tones. Perhaps there is a middle road which will give you the better (bird) clarity but also preserve your good color tones.

Dear Monika,

Nice action shot, too bad the action gets overlooked because the birds blend with the background. Looking at the EXIF I see that it's a fast shot (1/1250) that, IMHO, underexposed the image loosing the wonderful yellows of the tree and the lush green of the pastures.

I hope you don't mind taking a look at the (rezoned) copy where I brought up the deep shadows, allowing more detail from the forest and more saturated hues. At the same time, the birds have better contrast against the background.
