About we live in an area with a lot of amish folks around. i loved the tracks that their carriage left on the dirt road, and tried to be respectful. the good thing about colder weather is that the manure left on the road (and on our tires) doesn't smell so badly.

Jess, I like the picture. I too struggle with wanting to take pictures and being respectful to their traditions and beliefs. Though always their tradition and beliefs win out. Nice pic!

I can echo Nessa's comment as I too have memories of watching keen gardeners following horses up and down streets clutching a bucket and hand spade:) . I suppose the Amish people are very private and we know so little of them in the UK but I believe their basic values are to be admired as they appear to be very peace loving communities, Well done to you my dear friend a lovely little composition and a great 'about'. Take care of you sweet friend, 'see' you soon. My very best wishes to you........Ray ;)

Great composition Jessie. Seems a tad soft . . . but I like the composition - Horse poop is NOT as bad as Quail and lizard poop! (Trust me) ;)

you are too funny! it isn't fun to get the poop out of tire treads. ah well. ;) i know they don't like their pictures taken, and every time i wish i had my camera and would be able to take photos. ah well.

i cropped this, it doesn't look like it did in the bigger photo. ah well. i am learning! thanks, michele!
