About The composition and photographic "artistic" flavour is not why I posted this image. I'm looking for opinions... please read on and see why...

There is a real story re this image. Originally shot in colour and later printed (yes darkroom print) on B&W paper. It was an image from my girls at the window series. There was only one girl in this shot... only one person... You can see her. But do you also see the other face? I usually notice everything when I shoot... my attention to detail is usually pretty accute. I actually printed this on B&W paper as the colour image showed this ghostly other face, (which was pretty clear and mostly black and white, whereas refections of trees and other plants in the pic showed more colour). I thought the mystery face might come up better in B&W... it did. The pic has been featured in an Australian National Photographic Magazine, and no one could determine if the mystery face was owing to a reflection... but I swear I did NOT see the face when I shot this image!!! I love a good ghost story and a mystery... lol...

Only PS work here was to crop the shot a little tighter, rather than muck around in the darkroom. (I am getting a bit slack, I know...) I also sharpened the image a tad and put a little soft frame around it, as I often do for otherwise non PS pics.

Thank you for coming to see Dear Onie!!!

(And thanks Bek for heading Onie in this direction :) )

I agree, eerie, not frightening. And yes, I agree again... characteristics of well over 100 years ago, yet the building is not that old. Perhaps a previous dwelling on that spot, though I doubt it! It is swampy farmland. I was surprised it was ever built on! As far as I know, the house there (which is being renovated... I am sad about that...), was built in the mid 20th century.

I wonder why you say the model is my daughter... :) Possibly because I referred to her as one of my girls. I refer to all models as "mine"... probably a habit I should break. I don't own anyone... lol...

Thanks for your visit and your great observations, Onie!

You've made me happy...
Ani :)

Truly amazing Ani... Bek told me to come look... Before I scrolled down could find at least five...

Definately an eerie feeling, but not frightening... Maybe a previous dwelling on that spot??? The images have characteristics more 19th or early 20th century... Who knows... Can see a female with a suprised looking upwards from beneath a hat brim in top of the pane... but can also see a very small face, male with mustache, his left facial, in area where no glass immediately left of your daughter... as well as the others...

Amazing as I said Ani... :)

Onie...

Yes Dear Shirley!!!

And like I said, "experts" from a photographic magazine could NOT explain the main other face, let alone the less obvious ones... hmmm...

Hugs~
Aniko :)

Ah Bek... you remembered the poem... I am touched! :)

I can no longer go to that old house that has these "whacky" ghostly faces, as it has been sold and I don't know the new owner/s. It used to be my playground... lol.. not anymore... They are renovating it!!! OUCH!!! (*Insert Ani's childish crying face here...*)

I want to go see the Wangaratta house!!! Meet Sarah!!!

Now, not many people believe me as my house was built in the early 60's... but we have "entities" here. Only those who have seen and heard actually do believe! So I have my own "haunted house" that I live in every day... and it so NOT frightening! :)

Hugs~

He has come to see his sweet Bethony again Ani!!!!
In the thumbnail his face was the one I saw first, and on closer inspection I also see many more ghostly faces! WOW!!!!
What a thriller.
In an old heritage listed house in Wangaratta that friends of mine used to rent, 'lived' Sarah. She was a friendly ghost, but very noisy on the stairs and with the kitchen cupboard doors. Perhaps you should check out the history of this building to see who 'lives' here.
A very haunting, well presented (and surprising) image,
hugs, Bek

The only "real" person has her face and arm outlined in red. The others are just a couple more so easily seen if one looks... There are so many more, but this will be enough now... lol...
The outlined face in pink is the one I was referring to in the first place.

Indeed Mary... these are the 2 "main" faces I referred to. But as I keep repeating, there are many many more in this image which really does have a bit of a "hammer horror" movie atmosphere about... lol...

Warmest Wishes to you and thank you for commenting!

Aniko :)

Oh good Shirley!!!

I am happy you see the face of the actual model and also other faces. Yes, you picked the other main face I mentioned... the one to the left of the model... and there are just so many others!!!

I had hoped this image would be of interest to people... :)

Thank you Shirley for commenting on it.

Warm Hugs to settle your chills :)

Yes, there are several faces Dear Michael... two most outstanding ones (one being the REAL person, a girl) that I photographed. I am thinking of posting the same image and circling the other faces to perhaps make it clearer for others to see...

It is a pretty interesting image!

I'm glad you see the faces Michael. Also glad you see more than the 2 "obvious" ones. I also see many many more!!! :)

I think it's s pretty cool too, Michael. :)

Warm Wishes,
Aniko :)

This is an immediately intriguing and captivating image..face(s) or not! Now I see a face just inside the middle of the left (as you look) frame. It is leaning a little diagonally down on the top of the other face. It is like the scene from a very atmospheric film.

Oh Aniko...I have chills!!! I see clearly man's face with mustach to the left and a bit above hers and another mustachioed man's face next to hers on the right. There is also the suggestion of a face peering over the broken part of the glass...distinctly an eye and nose. Whoa!!!

Thank you Txules for commenting!

Whether or not you see faces or not (and I assure you there is one there I did photograph), is of no consequence. I really appreciate the time you took to have a look and to leave a very kind comment!!!

Warmest Wishes,
Aniko :)
