This last spring, I had to make two trip to China/Hong Kong for work. It was *unreal*!!! You will love it. Be sure to go south, and see the rest of the country. Shanghai is a city under construction...but beautiful. The south is old world China...a site to see.

It was one of those days, when getting wet just didn't matter anymore...all I cared about was that the film in the camera stayed dry.
I love the red filter. I had a few contrast issues w/ the roll I developed (I agitated too much with the developer), so I had more luck with the images that had the yellow fillter.. but I do agree, the red filter (when done correctly :) ) is amazing.

Sheeeesh Joel . . . This shot ROCKS! Awesome conveyance of scene . . . well composed. Perfect use of filter (I just love what red and yellow filters do to B&W . . . though I use red the most). Your discomfort in getting wet has produced an awesome shot (and congrats on the award) making us capable of enjoying this view while staying dry . . . though just looking at it makes me wary my socks will get wet. Home-run! 7/7 and favorite!

A great soggy image Joel. The composition is perfect.
Excellent variations of texture, the misty mood created by the rain is presented well in B+W. I especially like the look of the water running off the roof edge.
WOW what a downpour, I'd say the soaking was well worth it and you are right in being happy with what you ended up with. This is a wall hanger for sure, excellent work,
