The idea Jan suggested could be interesting.
If you follow it and want to keep standard sizes, to me there seem to be 2 possibilities. A square or this format. I added a square example (rough cut).

Love this still life; well done with excellent crop and the detail is top notch. I posted one too, called Hose with a different point of view.
I like what you did here, including the work you did on the frame. It would be interesting to see if the visual impact was significantly effected if you cropped off the foregorund piece on the right side.
