About Since the tourists and the swans were again too many, and not wanting to use the whip against them for not cooperating again, I simply zoomed in! ;-)

Any opinions from the league of the unsatisfied critique-men? ;-)

Thank you very much J.

I also think that greyscale adds a very special kind of atmosphere that fits very well old buildings. It is like going to the past and somehow looking at the architecture from that point of view, while the color photo often feels like looking at it from today's point of view. The contrast comes at least partially from the used B&W film (Kodak professional BW400CN) which has very good properties regarding contrast.

Thanks again and regards,

Nick

P.S.: Give my greetings to Greece, my homeland!

Very nice shot Nick, the perspectived angle gives length to the bridge, nice also shot in greyscale as the old style architecture needs that. Enouph contrast to support the details in colorless.

From the diary of an almost completely frozen long haired photographer that was found at an altitude of 3500m in snow!

New heights, they said! The best for you, they said. Climb up the mount for photos, they said! And now I am in the snow storm and who's going to inform the red cross to send a team for getting me out of here - brrrrrr!!! And I can't use the camera anymore because of the ice crystals on my hair hanging in front of my eyes and nose!!!

Thank you for the nice comment, Andre! And also for the critiques that pushed me in these new heights... of freezing photography! ;-)

Cheers,

Nick

P.S.: Oh, a wondeful white animal with blue eyes looking like a big dog is running towards me. How beautif...

No, take your teeth off my leg!
Grrrrrrrr
Go, go away!

You chew my fims? Arrrrrggghhhh! (That was the photographer, not the wolf!) You dare not cooperate with a photographer? Where's that whip? ?&%£$!!!-wolves!!! ;-)

Hi Nick,
Come on!!! You have to admit, when you compare the two that this one is by far superior. You even got a beautiful leading line of light going right to the tower. The composition, toning and exposure are all excellent as far as I'm concerned.

It's a good thing you have us grumpy old critics to push you to new heights :)

Many many thanks, Fabrice!

I don't use any post-process, but how could one apply the tones of one picture to some other? Is there a way?

Cheers,

Nick
