Beautifully conceived and captured, Dan. Most dropshots are mostly monochromatic, emphasizing the shape and movement but eliminating the potential of color to the composition. Nothing wrong with those, of course, but you've skilfully joined the pursuit here. A great one!

I have enjoyed my brief but very satisfying visit to your portfolio. The vast variations in subject matter are astounding, your creativity is stunning I have looked at some of your portraits, but haven't commented on those beautifully taken shots, I take my hat off to you and shall value your comment on my lowly shot even more. Very best wishes to you Dan, I will keep an eye on your progress.....Ray

Dan - This is excellent! Amazing timing! Reminds me of Harold Edgerton's work in the '40s.
Re: Digital Pinhole - - Here?s how I made the digital pinhole image. First, I have a Canon D-30, which is a digital SLR, so it uses different lenses. Second, I bought an extra body cap for it. Third, I drilled the smallest hole that I could in the body cap. (I had a 1/16th inch drill bit, so I used that.) Fourth, I taped a piece of aluminum foil inside the body cap and pierced it ever so slightly with a needle. Fifth, I used a tripod and experimented with shutter speed until I got a fairly good image. Sometimes it takes over a minute, but I think the image that I posted took considerably less time. The nice thing about digital is that you can shoot and discard without a guilty conscience.
Also, the D-30 has a CMOS imager. Most other digital SLRs have a CCD imager. I don?t know if that would make any difference in the outcome.
