Thank you all for your comments - especially Mary Sue! That's a great point you make Christian. I tried it both ways and prefer the original tones over black and white. See attached. Looking forward to your Great Smokey photos John.

Yup. Great shot! Wonderful graphic quality to it. Thanks for your kind and constructive comments on my stuff. Sorry it took so long to reply but I was in the Smokey Mtns for the last week burning up 31 rolls of film! It was GREAT!

John, what a beautiful interpretation. This composition doesn't require to go to far away places but it shoes attention to the beauty of our surroundings. Could I suggest to treat the leaf as a counterpoint to the sun ? You could try to do it avoiding the leaf to be toned as the rest. It could be in B&W for example, or in its original hues if they contrast sufficently.

John, this is fabulous...it really does look like liquid gold. It took me a few minutes to see that this is actually a reflection. How fortuitous that the floating leaf is in just the right spot. Your PSP toning is exactly what it should be. This image could be hanging in a gallery easily. Was scratching my head to find something constructive to say, but instead must offer unabashed admiration.
