Dan and Lisa.. I work with Dan and he asked me to photograph them before they got married..
I was shooting film for this.. Film is that round roll thing that used to go in a camera for all you digital people out there :)
Seriously though.. it was Fuji Astia 100 film (Astia 100F was not out yet)..
It was canned on a Minolta III slide scanner and untouched other than the black and white (this one), and resize and unsharp.. I left all the freckles, and wrinkles and everything in there just to remind the overshoppers (those who overly photoshop) what skin looks like before the mannequin blur..
Now to be honest, I mannequin blur myself sometime.. I have fallen into that proverbial digital edit rut.. So I stand not on a soap box..
Nonetheless, these two look great as a couple, and this was one of my favorites from the shoot.
Beautiful portrait. One that you wanna treasure for life. It brings a smile on my face. What better gift to give your friend on his wedding than these portraits. Very well done my friend.
Would like to see more of this couple. I liked the b&w version better.
