I heard that the most important is a photographer not a camera. I think it applies also to canon :)
By the way, I worked for some time on Canon 300D and it was OK .... but changed again to the next Olympus (E300) as I missed 4:3 image proportion and tiff files (before canon I worked on Olympus C2500L and E10).
Last time I moved to Nikon D70 as it was quite cheap and my sister works on D70 (so I know the camera) and also because I can use from time to time realy great lenses from our Public Relations department (lucky me!).
