About A shrine to stubborn people.
The Texan government told the militia to grab the canons and retreat San Antonio, as all of the troops were tied up elswhere. Instead, they held their ground, drew massive Mexican attention, and were eventually slaughtered.

This was shot with my Sigma ultra-wide zoom, and a bit of diffuse blur was added for nostalgia.

Brilliant capture! The true spirit of the alamo is conveyed here. I really like the angle and crop. Nice work Paul.

Oh Yeah!

This image really does it for me, Paul. Fantastic angle, excellent PS work. Love the blue in the window and also the diffuse blur. Altogether an amazing shot. (Sad story behind the building though. Thanks for the history lesson!)

All the loving best,
Ani :)

Yep, this looks like Texas. Every time I visit this place I wonder what the mind set was like for these 1836 people. Travis can be figured out from his writings, but the rest, even Crockett and Bowie are just not known. I really enjoy your image as it is not the same old photo of the front of the building.
