Moonwalking? Moonwaliking you said?

Well, yes, yes, yes!!!! *This* is exactly what my mind perceived and my speach couldn't express in words! The hard lights and shadows due to absence of any atmosphere, the stones, the texture, everything is quite like the old photos of the surface of the moon taken some decades ago!

As about children's problems, well, I guess you are right. We tend to simplify them as we are getting older, but we should remember the time when we were children and our problems were huge!

I remember myself at those times in that small town in Greece... and it is the perspective of the past that gives meaning to those "unimportant" problems.

Thank you so much Annemette, both for the photo and for initiating the idea of past pespectives. What an unusual yet clarifying perspective it is!

Cheers,

Nick

Or what about moonwalking?!;-)
In this image I wanted to express that some people try to re-live their childhood because the world can be stressful with all its demands, responsibilities and opportunities. Some want to go back to the time of security and play in their childhood.
Still I think that many people forget that children also worry and have problems from time to time. They might seem insignificant to adults, but at their level of development their problems are as massive as adult problems, even more so because they don´t have the same power to change things.
Take care, Nick;-)

Though the arrangment is nice and also in some way humorous, Annemette, my sight is immediately caught by the stones of small and bigger size on that mosaic of the earth. Its contours are drawn by the hard light and shadow which makes the individuall elements visible, but without destroying the appearance of an overall continuous surface. Even in the domain of the shadow of the person the smaller and bigger stones are visible, almost touchable. I would name this a "study of the earth under different light conditions"!

As so often, you show once again, that humor, study of material, and abstract qualities can indeed go hand in hand!
