Hi Jacques,
For the most part, the people you meet on this kind of trip are very friendly and provide a lot of the pleasant memories. That has been my experience anyway.

it was a wonderful trip, just start from Montreal, go to the Badlands, Yellowstone, the canyon, New Mexico, White Sands, Louisiana, Florida (north part), Washington (for the zoo) and get back... about 16 000 km... heavy for the driver, but so much nice landscape and great people... Just don't have enough time to really enjoy each place as much as we want.
Thanks for taking time to visit and comment

Hi Jacques,

What a great trip you must have had!! I'm just going through your latest landscapes. This one stood out for me because it reminds me of Drumheller Alberta, where all the dinosaur bones were found. You seem to have a lot of really nice images from your trip. I hope it wasn't too much like that movie "National Lampoon's Vacation" :)

Hello Jacques,

I like this one a lot. The contrast between sky and the rocks with the grassland in very nice.
You chose this landscap very well, also your point of view where you look through these two big rockformations. The composition is balanced. Fine atmosphere you show us here. So "the good badlands". Thankz for sharing this with us.

Greetz,
Albert

What a gorgeous landscape, Jacques. Love your sky, too. Looks like you had a good photo journey in visiting the Badlands. Once of these days, I must return there.

Best wishes, happy shooting and all that jazz.

thanks a lot SZymon, as I said, this is the edge of the polarizing filter... too much wide angle.
Really appreciate your visit and comment.

thanks a lot for your comment Marc, I take note and try to correct it. But for the upper left, this is a darkening from the filter... to wide angle and I see the border of the filter...

Jacques, strong means good in photography, your skies are impressive, sure it's polarizer or ND trick but in style. Cheers, NJ

Seems to be overpolarized/darkened or perhaps a grad filter that was a touch too strong. I like the scene but it could use a little tonal correction. Tone down the foreground, particularly the right side and bring out the contrasts while softening the harsh contrasts and dark blues/blacks in the sky, particularly at upper-left. Minor stuff really. Overall, I like it.
