Dear Mary
Thanks for your thorough explanation. I looked tripod up to see what it was. Iīm sure that will help me much as the slightest movement can be detected in a telecope.
A good idea to have a device that can hold the camera directly on the telescope. Iīll check in some stores and see what the price is.
Great having you to help me with this. Thank you so much!
Best wishes,
Annemette

Hi Annemette. The tripod I mean is not anything special or anything concerning telescope things. It is just a regular camera tripod. The thing is, it will help hold your camera steady.
There are items one can buy that will hold a camera to a telescope. I had an Orion Universal Camera Attachment. It is made to hold almost any model of digital camera close to the eyepiece. I didn't use it very much then switched to a Digi-T set up. ScopeTronix makes them specific to a lot of makes and models of cameras. I really have not had much chance to use it so can't say what I think about it. However, one guy in my Astronomy group loves his.
One thing to try to do is have the glass of the eyepiece and the glass of the lens as close together as possible. So choose an eyepiece that does not have the glass recessed. Some have the glass close to being level with the top.
Good luck.

Thank you for stopping by, Mary and for leaving such good advice. I must find out what exactly a tripod is, so I can purchase one because I would love to be able to take clear photos of the moon and other objects.
Best wishes,
Annemette

A creative idea, Annemette. The look on Little Henry's face is great. I like how he blends into the dark background. Keep trying with your telescope. You might try putting your camera on a tripod to keep it close to your eyepiece and steady. Then play with your camera zoom and telescope focus until you see the image clearly on your camera screen.

Thanks, Maxime:-) Iīm glad that you like my somewhat spooky image. I adore beautiful sceneries, but they donīt move much. Some photographers on UF have shown some heartbreaking images of people that I treasure very much because they make us think and take a stand.
All the best,
Annemette

Amazing inspiration! I’ve never observed the moon this way! It is an implausible idea and composing. The black space at the right provides a dramatic feeling. An unusually thought and image is always more effective and sympathetic at least regarding to my taste.
Best regards: Maxime

I guess, I play around just like you do, Mary. No explicit plans:-) You taught me that itīs ok to play with images and not only leave them raw!
Take care

Dear Fatemeh
Yes, I know what you mean. My camera doesnīt work well with my telescope, so I couldnīt get more details on the moon:-( Still I find the moon and the sky as a whole so fascinating, and now that Iīm experimenting a bit, I couldnīt help but use this moonphoto:-)
Take care and have a nice sunday,
Annemette
