Thanks Andree!! You gotta know we love animals in general anyway . . . who else would own hundreds?? But the beautiful and pampered dogs in this show were just lovely to behold. 1400 dogs . . . and this one made the cut for me . . .:) I appreciate your comments!

Thanks so much Laura . . . in fact, with 1,400 dogs it took something more than a good looking dog to grab my eye . . . and they were all great looking show dogs anyway. This guy caught my eye because of his expression of confidence (good choice of words you found). He certainly has an aura of superiority! :)

Hey Phillip! My wife has shown dogs countless times . . . I have only competed obedience (I can train a dog to do anything but fly) and we're both looking at agility trials for our Welsh Corgis since they have soooooo much energy! Both our corgis are registered and of champion show-stock. Right now we have too many outside obligations to show . . . but soooooon! :)

Master Dalmation is perfect! I like the pants of the owner like a background very much, it enhances the relationship between them! Greetings R...

Thanks Carlen: The apertures varied as there were variable light conditions from shade canopies to open air rings. I have gone back to the images and posted shutter speed and aperture settings now! :)

Wonderul capture as usual Doyle. :) I think that dalmation is sizing up his competion! He seems to be staring at something off in the distance.
p.s. What apertures were you using for these?

Thanks Mary! That's very kind of you to say. My neighbor (the fireman--surprise, surprise) had two . . . never saw a short, fat one . . . sounds like a loved -- and somewhat pampered, i.e., spoiled pet! ;)

This is a gorgeous dalmation! We had one when we were kids...the only short and fat dalmation in history, and we loved her. This dog's intent gaze makes him seem like he's thinking great thoughts.
I like the image very much, particularly how you caught the animal's expression so well.
