Hi Carlen, thank you for the comment. I tought too about filling all the area in black, in fact I did some brushing (burn) because there were some annoing reflections on the glass where the shell sits. Now, I think you are right: it would have been better completely black :)

I like this photo very much, but I think if you went over the bottom area with a black brush in photoshop and filled that area in so the whole area surrounding the shell is black, it would showcase this beauty that much more.
