Personally I don't feel that the centred horizon really works for you here. The lines in the sand are good, and I reckon that getting the camera down lower and maybe a little closer to the boat, keeping the boat on a "third" would have worked a little better, keeping the horizon along the bottom third horizontal line...
Hi David, Excellent shot, and a very good composition. I really like the crisp tones and the wide DoF, emphasising the seemingly endless beach. Very good shot.
My only nit would be the placement of the horizon, running through the center of the image. I think cropping off a bit of the beach in the foreground (lower part of the image) might balance it a bit more, but that's obviously quite subjective.
