Thanks for the comment! I did have the ISO up because I was not using a tripod.. was just one of those last minute shots! Hopefully I will get another chance to do some if not then next year I will be outside in my pjs trying to capture and practice some more!

I see you made an wonderful attempt on capturing this lightning. I noticed an considerable amount of noise level. May I suggest something?

In night photography, Always use 200 ISO. Especially with long exposures. The only time you want to increase it; is when you want to capture some action. For say... indoor sports. So, keep the ISO settings at the lowest speed. This will help you bring longer exposures of the night sky. It will also bring the crispness and beauty of your night exposures.
