Hello Arthur,
Congratulations on the SC award. Well deserved. I too hail from Ottawa, and I think I photographed the same butterfly. ;^)
I noticed your picture of the Great Blue Heron. You mention a Little Blue Heron as well. Was that at the High Falls Conservation area in Casselman? I'm sure I recognize the waterfalls in the background.

Very nice composition, bold color, and sharp detail. The sunlight is not too harsh, and fill is ample. Not sure about the blurred floral at the bottom right, but it’s blurred and relatively lacking in strong value, so it’s not a bad distraction, and it couldn’t be cropped, so I say great job!

Some times an image do not need much comment, its a sort of beauty which generate its own comments and people just enjoy viewing it.
