Stephen, thanks so much for your honest critique of my image. I know what you're saying. It does look good as a landscape crop, and the mother will probably prefer it. I myself, prefer the use of the negative space for impact. It's really more artistic in my opinion. But I really appreciate your sharing your thoughts, and taking time to look at my other work. I really really appreciate it!

I've looked at some of your other work. No need to rant about composition to you. Very nice work. Very nice photos. I guess on this photo I think it would look better cropped in half landscape style to fill the frame with the subject. Thanks again. Steve

Very nice. I think there's too much empty space though. Babies are great to photograph and they grow so fast, each photo is a chance to capture a moment that will last forever. Close the gap. Great photo and very nice use of B&W. Do you have other shots with closer composition?
