Thank you Danny. Some shots turn out better than you think. I wouldn't have guessed that this was as pretty as it appears when I shot it. Strange how I've received many comments from people thinking I've doctored the shot. I tell them the subject is just that impressive.

Beautiful, deserves at least a BIP to me.
As for the square crop, it's nice but I think you should leave the original the way it is because it shows off the bird's feathers a lot better.

Good shot of this beautiful bird. The colors are superb. Light and details are good. I like this one better than the square crop, shows more of those tail feathers.

Howdy Ron,
*insane* ...I freakin love this. It's right on the border of abstract, and that's what attacts me to this. The contrast of the background against the the bird is perfect! it just hangs those feathers, and spots in an amazing use of space across the entire image. The details are awesome!!
very well done! going to be one of my favorites!

I think the rectangular crop does much more justice to the bird than the square crop. So, my preference is your original shot.
