About
This is the Lobby of the The Peabody Hotel, a famous land-mark Hotel in Memphis...A very ornate, immaculate Hotel with a fully appointed Lobby including Bar, with Mallard Ducks in the Center Fountain...The procession of the Mallard Duck's as they enter the Lobby from their Roof-Top Penthouse is a Red-Carpet affair, and a real sight to see as the Handler parade's these famous Mallard's into the Elegant Fountain at the very center of the Lobby...Definitely something to catch while you are passing through Memphis...According to Mississippi Author William Faulkner's Short Story "Mississippi",the Lobby of this very Hotel is where the Mississippi Delta begins...I think he was right...
hi ya,Spanky!...i could see myself there sittin' on one of them comfy sofas with a refreshing cosmos in one hand and some Southern tales in the other...Ducks in a fountain to boot!...like the warm lighting and hues...an author once said that this was the "most Southern place" ~GG
Great shot of a beautiful place, I can hear the man at the grand piano playing any tune one asks for. And should this be too tame for you, go a couple of blocks south to historical Beale Street, where on any night great blues can be heard.
