Kalmia Latifolia is lat. name. They grow wild all over the place here. We have 250 acres and very few lack at least some! Grazie per la sua interressa nelle mie photographie!. You speak, or at least write english benissimo.

Greg, I never saw or never noted this buds. Do you know what kind of laurel is it?
