About	I am not happy with this at all. I know that it was stupid to shoot at noonish because of shadows. However it was my first promo shoot and I NEED advice. Please help me out here. I want to start doing better in this area. What do I need to do?

The shadows aren't really that bad, it adds to the harshness of it all. What you really need to do is use some text that doesn't clash as much with the background. Maybe you could even darken the background where the text is so that it stands out better. Try panoramic as well to get rid of the space at top and give the promo shot a feeling of promo rather than snapshot.
