___These are some very smart birds that can survive under some extreme circumstances.
___The shot is a tad bit difficult since the exposure can be tricky on the dark bird with the light BG but you managed it quite nicely.
___The colors (especially in the water) are realisitic, rich and vibrant.
___I think the composition (my opinion, mind you) is a tad bit static due to the centrality of the subject. As the chap is facing and looking left forground, I think a slight crop on the right side would add tension and create a more dynamic composition. Either that, or check to see if you could extend the left side out further (perhaps recover it from a previous crop).
___All in all a pleasing shot.
