Nice piece of candid work, Paul! The composition is great! Although the quality of the photo is high, I feel that the light is not at its best.

Paul,

Wonderful shot indeed. I love the cropping using the lens, DOF used, sharpness, colors, contrast and the connection regarding the Mother and her child.

This is 1 nice piece of glass, as the bokeh is very pleasing to the eye...

Well done indeed my friend,

Marty

Great capture!

There is no acting in the world that can come close to authentic non-chalance. My favorite part of this images is the look on the child's face.

Well taken!

Well, I've discovered that if people realize you're photographing the area, and not JUST them, then they relax. It also helps to stake out a spot on a corner , a bench or at a bus stop and just observe for a while before you start shooting. I don't try to sneak shots; I'm very obvious about what I'm doing.

This was shot with a 50mm, so you can appreciate how close she was; choosing to interact with her son than to worry about 'some tourist'.

We all look like that after we have kids... right??

Paul, when you do your candid shots do people realize you are photographing them? Or are you real slick about it? I sometimes think about photographing random people, but then I chicken out! LOL
