This is the end of the D river that runs in the center of N +S Lincoln city. It's historical fact is to be 'The Shortest River' in the states. On the S. side of this bridge is where Kite Festivals are held. LC also claims to be the Kite Captital of the World.
Long, narrow panos like this need a unique interest point (or several) to work well (IMO). The best way to improve this shot, I think, would be to drop the top crop lower, keeping only the bottom of the bridge in the shot as a very cool, natural frame. The top line is distracting the eye from the area you want to emphasize.
