Thank you James for 7, especially that it is not usual for you to rate photos so high :)

I am glad that out of my photos you noticed this one. It is strong, unforgetable, I wanted it to be like that.
"The tongue object" is just magnolia petal. You can see more on my photo "so close..." http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=1105785

And re fading into border...
Yes, I noticed my mistake when i was browsing photos on another screen. I should have added thin gray line, then pink, then black framing.

Thanks once again

Thank you Avishek for kind comment.
I will browse your gallery and promise to leave comments to all floral photos :) I mean I am sorry if i do not write a lot about other kind of photos as I am not expert in other fields of photography.

This is an excellent use of border. Cinematic. I am learning today.

I wonder if you might be able to improve matters by adding a thin (one pixel thick) black line on the image side of the thin pink line--so that the tongue object does not fade into the border?

Your choice not to use borders on the sides is dead-on.

I've only given out two 7's so far and this is one of them (I'm a tough grader).

Dear Narabia,

You left me NO choice but to rate this as 7 !!!

1. Fantastic Minimalism
2. Awesome DOF
3. Out-of-the-world framing !!!

Magnificent abstract !!!

I too have a humble profile in UF. Please go thru it, if u can, and let me know what you feel. Any comments/suggestions are truly welcome.

best regards,
Avi

The photo: beautiful for me the original idea, the contrasting colours and the general softeness, safe a little point.

Monika, nice crop that is "so close" to perfection. A floral abstract ???. I'm not sure if something like taht exists in visual art categories but if so the one is right in. Brave composition and croping, very attractive though. Cheers, n.j
