A very artistic composition. The slight slant of the stem is a great lead to the rose. Colors, light and details are excellent. I like the limited DOF, it allows the rose to pop from the frame.

When I first looked at this my first thought was "should have gone in closer", but the more I look at this, the more I like the distance from the flower to show the stem and leaves. My only real critisism would be the background, and in particular the light blue blob top/middle/left, and the bright green stalk to the right of the flower which I find a little distracting. Cloning them out or hanging a piece of dark material behind the flower at the time of taking the shot, would have got rid of them Other then that I quite like this...

Really strong image. Very nice exposure and the composition works very well. Using the stem to lead into the flower even though the stem is out of focus works. Doesn't say what aperture you used but it was a nice choice to keep the flower sharp but the rest falling off. Well done.
