Dear Mohamed, thank you for your kind and thoughtful critique. You are prefectly right, I was working on this pic in PS, exactly as you guess. Yes, I had good ideas but little time for execution, this is why some of the details are not so perfect. Best wishes to you: György

well, I liked this old Professor as a character so much, so nice and kind portrait dear.
now lets see the technicals that you've done here.. although it looks like that you spent much time to do this work, but you need to a longer time to make it real as much as possible, so there are some points you should take care about it.
I like that you made the background blury to make the the character appears more focused, in my thought you had used PS, but because of carelessness about some edges here, there're some of thin windy lines came out near his face and the lamp beside him witch it shows that you had used a horizontal motion blur with the background, gaussian blur is the right effect it can be used to add the same feeling of the optical lenses like 50mm and higher, but to do it perfectly you should to know that the blur increase gradually till the end of the scene, for example the blur of chairs behind him should be less than the background to be more reality, but it needs a high skills to be done so you can try it yourself and you'll get the result that you want.
