A street in the shadow of a hotel

The fogs of the past

The footprints of yesteryear

Bridge, tower, mountain

Feet in water

For some miles more

Last leaves of the year

Enginoid

Stairway (not quite) to heaven

One against the sky

Thank you very much for the detailed great comment, Doyle! This was not a natural cloud but what the condensation stripe of an airplane became after some minutes of wind. Sometimes they just disappear, sometimes they get quite irregular in shape, and sometimes they remain very regular for a long time, if the wind blows with uniform speed along the length of the stripe. I really have to try that out again.

Best wishes!

Nick:
I like the silky look of the water . . . you get a feel for the surface just by looking at it. The composition with the snow covered peak in the 'V' of the darker foreground is also well done. While it is not your fault, I do feel a tad distracted by the whispy (Cirrus?) clouds that seem to form a 'V' shape from the upper corners of the picture to the 'V' in the dark foreground. The line in those clouds (most pronounced along the right-side diagonal) seems quite unreal. I'm not saying it IS unreal, mind you, just that it seems unreal enough to be a distraction. I think the same photo with a different skyscape . . . possibly taken on any other day . . . would be an good way to improve this photo . . . which really is good already.

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~
