Hi Gayle, my wife Anna is an artist and she made this piece, she (the piece, not Anna!) has a timeless, far away look beyond the now, a place to be visited or buried in the depths of the present by the egoic mind.....oh boy, it's on today, maybe its' the tablets. keep well. cheers, david.

hi there, finally making my way back to check out your visions.....love the story of hope, the toning and the very primitive feel i get from this ...shows artistic imagination which appeals to me way beyond technically good traditional shots, tho' i can appreciate both....here's to Sophie! regards, gayle

Hi Claude, so pleased to receive your comment on this shot, my wife Anna is an artist and she made this piece, she lives on the wall near our front door (not Anna!) and I made the shot through a grape vine that just lost it's leaves....I am finding that all this 'technical' information somewhat diminishes the mystery of the photograph!! kind regards, david.

Of course. I should have made the connection. Your image and tribute made even more beautiful now that I know.
Though events like this have always made me question faith, can't help but admire the family's strength throughout and hope for Sophie's recovery.
A news headline a couple of years ago read: "Super Sophie - any tougher, and she'd rust".

Hi, ....Sophie is a little girl from Sydney who, in 2003, was very severely burned when a car crashed into her school and caught fire, she is now 5 and about a fortnight ago, her stroller was hit by a car on a pedestrian crossing in Sydney, she was badly injured and remains in intensive care in a Sydney hospital in a medically induced coma.....as a parent, I am unable to comprehend what this must be like and choose to think that when called upon we find strength that we did not know we have.....this picture is for Sophie....a poem sounds nice, Rina, cheers mate, david.

Beautiful. Have been looking at this for the longest time David and still can't find adequate words for comment.
Maybe the words to the poem that is taking shape on the right....
