Louise - took me a minute to work out what a soother was (in the UK they're called dummies), but I think it's absolutely the right thing for the photo! I'm glad he was so persistent!!
Looking at this again, it's going into my favourites... and I'm not normally a baby-photo person!

Perfectly taken - expressive but controlled, and the frame really sets it off in the right way. I love the almost glowing quality to the skin, and the depth in the eyes.
