Thanks for your comment. I was annoyed with this pic because I struggled to get it how I pictured it in my minds eye. When I took this images and others from this location I had a definate idea but man do you think I can get to it. But that is half the fun.

Thanks mate.
Mark

Hi,Manu actually I did comment further on several of his images. His strong images leave no doubt, but has others which lack that same impact quality. He is a fine photographer.
best,kim

Hi KW

Have a look at Marks portfolio and I think you will get an idea as to what his images can mean...all subjective of course

Cheers

Manu

Hi Mark

This really is your signature style of work and I think its great....they always tell a story. And I know you allow the viewer the freedom to determine what that story could be...all part of the show...

Cheers for sharing Mark

I am glad you appreciate straight forward critiques.Hope I am not giving the impression that my own work will be amazing. If you read my profile info you will see that I have more experience in identifying strong work.Although some of my work has been published,I am only now at a point in my life where I have some time to shoot more of my own work.I will look at more of your work now. best, kim

Thank you Janet Marie ;-)

The question of what lies behind the door is what really motivated this image.
Thanks for looking.

Mark ;-)

Hi K

Welcome to usefilm and thank you for the honest comment it's appreciated. What does this image say to me ........ frustration really for not achieving what I wanted. But good, bad or indifferent I will often put it up and hopefully with some feedback I can refine the work or the concept. I was intrigued by the temptation this door offered. It appears solid within a chaotic surrounding. What lays behind it. Should be opened or remain shut.

I look forward to seeing your work.

Regards
Mark

Hi Mark,
I really the solid look of the door contrasting with the shattered remnants in front of it. The brown and blue tones contrast beautifully too. It leaves me wondering what's behind that closed door...Well done my friend.
Cheers,
Janet Marie ;-)

I am new as of tonight and have not uploaded any of my own work, but hope to do so tomorrow.I wanted to jump right in by leaving some critiques and your image was the one I clicked on.
I like the Toy camera look, but the vignetting is too heavy.I am curious about what this shot says to you? I get a general feeling of an aftermath.
The strong contrasting elements stand out,but overall this is not a strong composition,Mark.
