Awesome . . . agree with Hugo about the intersect, but the image is still awesome.

Thanks, Hugo, for your critique of the mesa shot. I did shoot this from several angles, and I might just look at a second view and present it to see what you think.

And thanks to all. It was a rough 15 mile 4X4 trail I had to follow in order to get this view but I loved every minute of it, including trying to drive back in the dark.

Hi Dave, this is wonderful in its simplicity; excellent tones. The obviously intended intersection of the two rock structures is a good creative touch, and although it adds alot to the image, I'm not sure if its solution is done the moist justice inthis presentation and image format; it places a lot of attention on a single element, but the image shows so much more....!

I think this would better if you'd presented this in a panoramic format, or if you'd let the ridge in front cross the ridge in the rear.

It's only a minor thing, and a remark that's also a subjective issue, I do think however, that that little element attracts a lot of attention in this photo, and reduces the splendour of the scene you captured - an awesome sight!

Cheers,

Hugo

Really exceptional piece of work, I envision it in an upscale gallery somewhere. The juxtaposition of the two mesas produces an optical illusion which gives it the feel of a double exposure. Intriguing, I could look at it for hours.
