I like the DOF .. and soft the Blurred BackGround. Also i like the colors and the particular Lights ... Otherways it's not so original an the subject is too small and at the center of the frame.
Strong combination of the radiant tones of the rose and the neutral hue of the background in combination with the subtle DOF in the leafs; a good shot. I think I would've placed the rose a bit more to the right, though, preventing / reducing the centered composition, though. It also might've masked the single leaf sticking in from the right side a bit. I find that a bit distracting in the current presentation.
