Hi James
Overall impressive capture but gems look bit lackluster, was this intentional? because of lighting and top right corner void is also distracting.

Hugo,
thanks for your reply. The model was my choice, and throughout the day we had a series of different jewelry on the model. This particular image did stand out for me in it's classical nature, which is what I was going for. Thank you for your commments.

Excellent lighting and composition. The desaturated skin tone is beautiful and I think appropriate to the shot especially if the same theme is carried throughout the whole catalog.

The gemstones also appear desaturated. Can you mask off the gems and bump their curves back up a bit so the gems have some fire?

Hi James,

Who's to argue such a classy and professional photo. Good presentation, too. I think this photo is done more justice in glossy print than on any internet page; I presume the red of the jewelry is more prominently visible and a bit more saturated in the real prepressed image?

I for one think the combination of model and necklace are a very good choice as it places the attention at the item for sale here without downscaling the role of the model.

Impressive job! Was this combination of jewelry and model your choice? Or did an artdirector arrange that?

Cheers,

Hugo

very beautiful image although I think those particular jeweld do NOT match with her style.
In another words they are too strong for her facial tone. nice lighting.

Excellent work James. The cropping, the soft light and colors, and the PS work to enhance the look of the jewelry are great.

The only area of opportunity I see is the placement of the necklace, it looks like it is not well place in the model's neck.

Cheers.
