About	This is looking upstream of the Huka Falls/Waikato River which is the most highly developed for electricity generation in New Zealand. It supplies eight hydro-electric stations and provides cooling water for two geothermal and one thermal station. The eleven stations on the Waikato produce 65% of the North Island's power generation and approx 25% of New Zealand's hydro power, this 15% of New Zealands total power. The average daily flow over the Huka Falls is 160 cubic metres per second! This pic looking upstream you can see where the river, 100mtr wide and 4 mtr deep is forced into a channel 15mtr wide and 10 mtr deep. Unfortunately it was abit of a grey day, but the water still looked superb! ;oP

Oh yeah, you're right about the water looking superb. Caught my eye from the thumbnail. Great capture Tabitha. Wonder what this would look like with slow shutter speed...

Thanks Ray! Guess I should tell ya what the shutter speed was then!! Lol! There wasn't a close enough option to pick, so I left it blank!.. TV @ 160
