Petra, what a shot! I too am impressed that the cat stayed still. Really nice shadow detail in the image. Great work.

Hi Lisa, Matt and Valeh,
Well, this was the result of about 50 different pictures of which maybe 3 were good. Every time I'd approach, she'd either start washing herself or look away.
I posted a full portrait now too. She's the one of our 4 cats that's the most willing to pose. It always seems so easy, when you see cat pictures, but these animals are never still, unless they're asleep! At least ours aren't.

I did not know the Macro feature in Powershot could produce such great close ups! This is cool.

Who Petra! Closer than I would have gotten, but it turned out really cool here! Like to see more of the kitty another time, but I like the closeness of the eyes! Wow! Nice shot
