You have put it very well, dear Kambiz. I always try to do that. Only thing is that currently, a lot of other issues have kept me so tied up, that I am not really been able to put my mind into it.
I agree with you TOTALLY on what you said. Hopefully I will hear more from you on my work, in the time to come !! :)
By the way, you have not given any new pictures yourself for a LONG time !.. ????

If I may suggest you is that:
Don't try to work HARDER as you suggested, but TRY TO BE YOURSELF and be HONEST to your feelings.
I think photography is kind of bridge between your feelings thru the camera and the viewrs.
Do NOT forget all of us are human being with the same feeling of love, pain, distress, and so on.

I am sorry Avi if you were hurt!
I usually look at the images which pleased my eyes & my feelings. Then I write comment for those images. I barely read the name of photographers.
In another words I deal with images rather than photographers.
Hope you understand what I am try to say to you.

I might do.
I guess photography is the only way to appreciate the scene or art or any events I see or feel.
I tell you a secret, PHOTOGRAPHY for me is much better than having SEX !! Because I am so comfortable with it and so satisfying that no other things could substitute it.
When I take images specially with my film camera (Minolta Dynax 7, Mamiya), I am in special condition of timeless, it could be similar to take marijuana (I tried few times). I can't feel time and present, I am in it and I create such a wonderful stuffs that EVEN I surprised from my images later on!!

Perhaps because I always were (and are) sensitive, I always put myself instead of that subject whether it is an animal or human being, etc.
I never had a formal training in photography.
I took few courses in processing and developing B+W films later in my life.
Since my youth-hood I had the talent to draw, to write poems, and take photos.
I guess I DO have at least few thousands images on films which are were organized in several archival collections.

Again, a very artistic one, that looks easy and simple, but has a very interesting inner life. The tension of contrast between the background pattern and the foreground Z-like figure keeps me observing. The eyes run along the Z-contour without finding a point to rest - like something that always escapes when you think you caught it at last.
