About	Today, March 3rd, one celebrates in Japan the "Dolls'Festival" or "Girls'Festival", as it is a celebrations for girls of all ages. Households with daughters display gorgeous or modest arrangements of dolls, according to budget. There are special dishes prepared and entertainment offered to mainly the little girls, who get dressed in kimonos. It is a festival celebrating the coming of spring and the blooming of peach trees, which are known as very sturdy flowers representing the delicate as well as the inner strength of women.

What a interesting celebration. My fiance is 3rd generation Japaneese in the USA. His family still holds some traditions but very few. This seems like a great day for the girls and very meaninful.

What a great journalisitic photo. Love the colors and details of the doll.
