Hi Susie - so this is your little sunky guy - I can agree - theses eyes break everything. Nice face shot with these clear eyes. Well done.

Who can resist the looks of a dog in need of a snack?? I never managed until we had to seriously consider Bonnie's weight and health from around the age of 5. Lovely shot Susie and it reminds me I haven't downloaded recent shots of Lillie, our neighbour's pet. Still feeling bad just now and your pink flowers did me more good than my silly sod doctor. All the best sweetie.....Ray

Hi Brian, I hope you don't mind a little friendly advice when it comes to a family pet... JRT's are really cute and sweet little dogs, but I would only consider them under very limited circumstances. They need LOTS of exercise and mental stimulation or they will get very bored and develop some strange mannerisms. They are not really "people" dogs as much as they are "hunters". They love to hunt and kill small animals (mice, birds, cats etc.) and will stay on the trail of one for literally hours. They were bred to hunt foxes and many JRTs have died in foxholes because they just wouldn't give up. The down side to this is that they will take off without a thought to chase things. They also don't get along with strange dogs very well. I would be careful with them around small children. They are very excitable for the first few years of their lives and use their mouths to show this sometimes. You really MUST show them who is the boss in the house or they will gladly take on the role. ) That being said, they are funny, loveable and VERY smart. They adapt well to inside living (they are really clean) and seem to get along with most everyone (people) they meet. They are easy to train with some consistent effort. Hope I didn't throw a wet towel on your plans, but I just wanted you to know from someone who has experienced them first hand. Take care, and post some pics when you get a new puppy! Oh yeah, I would definitely get a puppy, not an adult for bonding purposes. Susie

Oh Susie, I love JRT's! You're so lucky to have one, and to have the big garden where he can run and dig and swim! They are so cute! I want to pet him, right now! Those eyes, and that nose! I love the fun angle you took this, showing the legs really really tiny, what a great picture! Adorable pup! I hope he'll give you many more years of joy, and don't forget to give him that snack :) Best regards, Ina

He looks like a character. Cute shot! I am curious, my eye sight is probably going and it is not a big deal but is there a soft blueish spot between his ears and eyes. The rest of it seems to have great detail...I wonder if you backed up about a foot and did the zoom....just a thought. Pat

I notice a recurring theme in your images: expressive eyes. In remembering that dogs emulate their masters, I hypothesize you must have very expressive eyes. Only when one's mind and spirit is open to a feeling can one feel thus. You are, therefore, certainly capable of empathic communication with children and animals. On an artistic level, this image attracts me with its color palette, its composition, and the choice of the deep brown eyes and round nose triangle that projects a simple and attractive form. Great work Susie!

Susie, I looked at the photo, I read the "about", I looked once more at the photo and reached the conclusion that the look in his eyes is irresistible! You DID give him the snack, didn't you?! He must have been in real bad need so that you could capture this expression without equal! Wonderful!!! Gabriela
