It's a sunRISE, dammit! (I want to make sure I get credit for getting up early to get this shot.) I'm glad I joined this forum. Here I didn't even like this photo much, and now, thanks to the encouragement, I'm going to devote the rest of my life to "stick photography."

This photo does have a sort of mysterious quality to it. I was only LOL at Larry for commenting on his own photo. I thought it was funny. It also has an abstract ("the sticks") look to it. I really do like the lighting. That would have been by comment after the fact...:)I agree with Steve on you pursuing this...The sunsets do offer a many splendor variety of colors.

Larry,
You're being too hard on yourself. Save that for me.
You have managed to capture the starkness of this desert plant where others have failed.
I think stick photography is something that you should persue.
BTW...Larry and I are friends.

You're too funny Larry. LOL at your comment. It does look like a bunch of sticks but oh well maybe next time?

This image just doesn't do it for me. An ocotillo is certainly a beautfiul desert plant, but here it looks like a bunch of sticks; maybe illuminating the plant with a flash would help. Despite these comments, you obvioulsy have enormous talent! Keep trying.
