Thanks Amanda. And Jan does most of her hanging at ILP now. She also got a new camera and has been playing with it. I think it's the Canon 20D. She was here last night helping me big time with my new camera and color conversions. I'll tell her you asked about her. Angela

Nice light in his eyes. I like the tilted composition.
Hey - do you know where Jan is by any chance? :)

This one is better...still has the same great tones and contrast but with a better expression and composition. The tilt is nice!

Thanks Chuck! I think the tilt is just something fun to play with and works with some pictures. Glad you agree for this one. And I also agree that the eyes make the portrait. I've been really trying to perfect mine. There are a couple of other photographers on here that are fabulous with eyes. I keep trying to get mine like theirs. Angela

Angela,
Another great portrait - some people may not like the tilt or crop that you did, but I like it...Aslo great detail in the eyes and nice even lighting. Looking at the portraits here on UF (and your portfolio) has reminded me that it is the eyes - that make a portrait.
Best Wishes, Chuck

Good informal portrait! The tones and lighting are good. That is a handsome young man!
