The more I look at this photo, the more I like it. I quite like the sepia/gold tones here. I think it warms and softens what may be an otherwise hazy grayish background. I feel as though I am looking at the scene from the boat captain's persective and not my own...and I think that makes it more interesting. Maybe it is because the boat is most prominent in the foreground (the dark inside of the boat catches my eye first) and is heading in the direction of the background, it feels inviting...like I am being invited to enter the boat and this moment. I feel as though I am seeing through his eyes a familiar, warm, sparkling place that is very simply...home. Hope that made some sense! Great job.

Thank you very much for your kind comments.

You are right.
I have been used as title "run away" instead of "move away". It means a warning from one of the gull to the others gulls to get out of the way.

Thank you for your interests.

Ok! That makes sense.

I think the title might have lost a bit in translation from Turkish. My guess is Bulent meant to say "move away," "move out," or "watch out." It probably means a warning to the gulls from the captain of the boat to get out of the way.

hi Bulent,
very good sepia work.I agree with Martin about the title.

Merhaba Bulent,

It is a familiar scene (to me) nicely rendered. The sepia toning gives the photograph a retro look. The sharp boat and other elements in the foreground are very effective against the hazy background. Even without the background, the lower part of the image is quite attractive, just the water, the two boats, and the gulls feeding make a nice panoramic image.

I will soon see the place myself.

I don't quite understand the title; but I find the sepia-tone just great.

The two boats soon passing and the slightly hazed cityscape finishing off - all works very nice.
