howdy, i like your imagination,Ann!...this particular place at the Pacific ocean isn't near me,but will keep sunset idea in mind should i go back at some pt....the ocean is West,of course, but that view thru the hole isn't due west,so guess you would only see the colors of the sunset if a very clear day which i have rarely seen there.....i usually catch the windy grey days there..LOL..but i like moody,so is ok by me...thanks for your fun feedback!

You know if you walk through that hole you enter another dimension. At least that's what it looks like to me. Reminds me of that Sci Fi show Stargate. The hole is a gateway to another planet maybe. Great rock and textures. You can even see a nice colourful waterline in the lower rock. I wonder if you can go there at sunset and catch a beam of sun through that hole. Are you far from this place? You need to go back and get a sunset shot through the hole. Do you take requests? I would like to see a shot of the same scene at the Golden Hour please. :)
Cheers - Ann :)

Dear Gayle,
hole in the rock, message in a bottle... I'm not sure why I mention this analogy, but maybe it's the water part =)
I like the open space created by the hole. it let's this enormous stone look a bit more fragile.
Hugs, Thilo
