A pity there is no additional information provided on the technical side,
I wonder if the picture in it's original state shows even more detail.
I have a similar picture of an orchid I will post tomorrow that is better in it's original state.
Further, I can only agree with the other comments so far.

I wonder why so much of your work is passed over Reidar ? No reason as far as I can see . An excellent portrait of a beautiful pink Orchid . A good composition, nice and sharp and great detail in each petal , lighting is good and the background compliments it so well .

I'm glad you commented on this one because it brought it to my attention. Reidar, this really is lovely and beautifully composed. You did a nice job lighting these orchids...a flower that has given me many fits. Lovely!

So why is everyone passing this over? Lovely shot that only suffers from being a bit soft. Composition and contrast is terrific. Nice work.
