Thanks Cari. I'll tone it down a bit in the future. I uploaded at 800 pixels having not realized the change in rules to 750. When usefilm resizes, it may also have an effect on sharpness. It is hard to control all the variables!

Its a beautiful picture..but I would say it is just a teeny bit on the "too sharp" side. Not much though! Every monitor is so different!

Pat, thanks for the comment. I do like to use the circular polarizer for that extra saturation and deep blue sky. In this case I used a graduated neutral density filter effect in PS.

That was on Sunday, Cari. There was some break in the rain but oh so dreary. Cari, please let me know how the sharpness shows in your monitor. I just changed back to the old style CRT and am unsure about my sharpening "eye."

Eb - I have also tried a circular polarizer to bring out more color / contrast in objects (not just the sky). A really beautiful shot!

Thanks Dave. I do need critique on my decision to use filters. It is quite overcast, raining, and dreary for most of the winter which makes pics dull. To compensate, I am trying to improve the tone and colour with filters.
