Neat shot!! Wonderful details and colors, very nice diagonal composition... well captured!!! And you can leave the 'little ones' in with dad/mom, I kind of like how they just 'peep' around the edge of the frame... ;-D!!

Hi Don, they are such unusual growths and here I think it is OK to keep the smaller ones. Beautiful colours and details and a great shooting angle my friend..Well done you and 'see' you again soon....Best wishes....Ray

You shot this from a great angle Don. You were lucky to find such a nice branch. So often those things are rotten and are like sponges but that's a nice splash of green spikes you have captured there. I too am undecided about the upper left branches. I probably would have taken them out but they actually go well with the framing you have chosen here. I can almost feel all those spikes. They look sharp like cactus spikes *ouch* :)

Cheers - Ann :)

Pretty Don! The frame works well with this photo. I also like how you left the little puffs in the upper left. Nice against the bright blue b/g.

I think the branches in the upper left are fine. With them you get the sense of the large branch being a part sticking out from a large object. Without them you get more of a sense of branch hanging in space. It really depends on what you want to convey. Either way works.
Steve
p.s. It's a really nice shot.

Spectacular shot of the tree, Don! Great colour and detail against the sky. I think I'd leave the branches out.
Dave.

Very nice shot, Don! For me there is no question...leave the branches in. I really like the touch of interest that they add.

wow - amazing abstract nature shot - nature and nature, tree of some kind. I like how you made a diagonal and used the sky in a great way!
