I remember you said you were having some problems I'm sorry to hear things have not gotten better. Maybe the casual aspect I spoke of isn't a negitive factor. It might be distrating you so that the image comes from a deeper part of your being and not so much from your head. Forgive me that might be badly said.

Thanks, Ellen. Nice to hear from you. The cat thief site should shortly be going out of operation if it hasn't done so already. Hope that works out OK. I had no reply to my formal letter... I have had personal problems, camera trouble, and bad weather to contend with, so I have mostly been looking over old files and choosing overlooked (ahem) masterpieces rather than going out to take new stuff. This has blunted the edge a bit and quality has fallen, I fear. Still, I have done some new panoramas and I continue to have fun, which is the main thing. Thanks for your concern.

Wonderful shot it really is crazy the differences between the two. How have you been Roger san? I have looked over many of you latest posts and there seems to be a difference to them, more casual maybe. I hope you are doing well my friend and I wish you my best.

Glad you liked it, Ann. I am encouraged to keep trying. I recently got another fisheye, this time for a 6 x 6cm (medium format) film camera, and when I can find some time and decent weather I'll be experimenting with that, too. I really like the wide angle coverage... next best thing to a panorama!

This has been a very effective fisheye experiment Roger cause it hasn't been completely distorted as most FE's are. It still looks like a normal looking scene. OK so maybe the path doesn't go around like that but to the viewer it could be that way. Also the trees are upright without distortion. They certainly have interesting twisted trunks and that further enhances this image. In my opinion I would say your experiment worked a treat. Great work.

I think your original picture is really very cool. I love it. I also really like your post. The distortion reminds me somewaht of a Funhouse. Please keep experimenting with your fisheye. Your results are neat. I look forward to seeing more.

Hi Roger,
good one! there is some weirdness in the picture, especially in the trees, but for me as an wideangle addict, this is the spice in the standard soup. I definitely need more ofyour experiments.

Amazing work with the PTgui software. The wide angle is apparent but the distortion is gone. Nice work. :) Andree

Hi Roger,
i like the output of fisheye lens,
it changes the "reality" at the first moment..
but i think you may also use that lens in very wide epmty spaces, to use its whole potential..
Also Roger, there is another website which has no limits both on MBs and on dimensions. since you very like the panorama format you might be interested in.

Dear Rashed, I am sorry you removed all your photos, and I am specially sorry that a moderator annoyed you so much you felt you had no choice. I have offered to moderate a forum on panorama photography because I did not want someone else (who shall be nameless) to be responsible--I have had my own problems with moderators. I promise you everyone will get respect and no jealousy in the panorama forum if and when it starts! I am glad that although you removed your photos you still keep commenting... I am always grateful for your friendly and encouraging comments.
